Vitroval supports young talent
Last Thursday, 15th June, Vitroval participated in the design festival Crea Fest, organised by the School of Technical Education (ESET) at CEU Cardenal Herrera University (UCH-CEU). Specifically, we collaborated throughout the semester with the students of the Master’s in Product Design in their packaging module.
Guided by their professor, the Valencian designer Pedro González, each student prepared a project for a liquor bottle, taking into account the briefing provided by Vitroval. To present the briefing, our design team attended one of the master’s sessions and offered a masterclass to the students about the glass packaging sector for food, and particularly about the design of liquor bottles.
Following these guidelines, the students have worked over the past months to design their own liquor bottle. After this period of work, within the framework of Crea Fest, the project culminated with the live exhibition of each project.
The jury responsible for evaluating the bottles designed by the students included Pedro González and Sara Barquero, the director of ESET, from CEU. Representing Vitroval on the jury were our CEO, Ignacio Albiñana, and our designer, Cristina Molina. It was a very enriching experience for both Vitroval and the master’s students.
All the students presented well-developed projects and had the opportunity to learn from the feedback and advice of Ignacio and Cristina, who aimed to provide personalised evaluations for each student and introduce them to the sector. Finally, the four best projects were selected to receive a very special prize.
At Vitroval, we are very proud to have carried out this agreement with UCH-CEU. Two of our company values are trust and empathy, so it has been a significant step to support young talent and help them immerse themselves in the labour market of the sector.
