When selecting a bottle of liquor, one of the most important factors to consider is the type of mouth. It is important to choose the type of mouth that best suits the characteristics of the liquor to be bottled. One type of mouth or another can influence the style and range that is projected for our brand.
Here we offer some tips that can help you decide on one or another mouth to bottle liquors.

CORK MOUTHS

The cork mouth or also called the “carnette” type mouth comes in a variety of diameters and shapes.

The most common diameters are 18.5mm, 21mm and 23mm and among its shapes, the flat, ring, double ring or conical shape, among others, stand out.

This type of mouth is used for drinks with a premium character. One of the reasons is that when selecting this type of mouths, you can opt for a highly personalized stopper in shape and materials, such as aluminum, wood or glass, achieving a global set with infinite possibilities.

BVP/GPI MOUTHS

BVP/GPI mouths are the most commonly used mouths for large-scale productions. The main advantages they offer are regarding their easy usability since it allows the end user to open and close as many times as necessary without losing its effectiveness.

The most used mouth is the BVP mouth or also called PilferProof. This mouth exists in different diameters, the most common being 31.5mm. It is used with Pilfer plugs of different heights.

Another of the most used threaded mouths is the GPI mouth. This type of mouth requires the use of a GPI plugs shorter than the pilfer plugs .

There are other types of threaded mouths such as the MCA or Europa models. These types of models are very specific models that greatly affect the final design of the bottle, which is why it is convenient to take into account the final design of the container if you want to use this type of mouth.

GUALA MOUTH

The guala mouth has the main benefit of endowing the bottle with the attribute of being non-refillable.
This is achieved by placing a guala plug that can be placed with automatic or manual machinery.
